Umbria Jazz 2007 started last Saturday and it will be avaible just to 15 of July (PROGRAM). When I was youg my father (a jazz player) comes with me to all concerts just when I was 14een, after that, I went alone to various concerts. The best thing of Umbria Jazz was that all concerts was all for free, but in the first '80s seen some of them starts to pay tickets, and cost was very hight! . My personal opinion about that is very pessimist, but now the reality is that the principal concerts are all for pay, but someone is still for free, for example all days there are concerts in the principal square in the center of Perugia; its starts at 17 and finish at 20 p.m. and another is at 22pm to 24pm, all for free, and the final concert -one of most important of all Umbria Jazz- (this year Saturday night , 14 July) is totally free. My little brother played in the Ellis Hooks band on the free stage. I wish someone had video of it. It looks wonderful from the few videos on YouTube.
